Nivedita Daw has received a National Scholarship from The Ministry of Culture, New Delhi and is a young and talented upcoming dancer. A senior student of Smt. Aloka Kanungo, Nivedita has made her guru proud at many occasions. She has earned the 2nd Prize from West Bengal State Music Academy, Certificate of Merit from Sri Aurobindo Bhaban, Kolkata, 1st Prize from Malasree, done well in many school and inter school competitions and performed at many prestigious places with her guru (such as the Khajuraho Dance Festival, Kalashetra, Chennai, Ekamra Utsav-Mukteswar Dance festival, Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, Bhubaneswar Music Circle,Padatik Little Theatre, Orissa Festival, Choreography Festival, Uday Shankar Dance Festival, Kolkata Doordarshan, National Library, Kolkata).
Nivedita has studied under the guidance of Lt. Padmabibhusan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra and has trained under Smt. Sujata Mohapatra. A Diploma holder from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh Nivedita is a rare combination of a versatile dancer and scholar.
