She has been learning Odissi since she was 8 years, from Late Guruji and presently from her mother, Stuti Sahu, a senior disciple of Guruji. Further she has been undergoing formal and professional training under Shri Lingaraj Pradhan, Odissi dancer and senior teacher at Rudraksha foundation, Bhubaneswar. In the last 10 years, she has put her sincere efforts in learning various elemental Odissi dances along with a number of intricate Pallavis and Abhinayas. She has passed Sangeet Bhushan in Odissi with a first class and distinction in practical and is currently studying for the Sangeet Visharad under Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh
She has performed solo in various prestigious auditoriums in Mumbai, like Birla Matoshree, Lala Lajpat Rai auditorium, Tejpal hall, S.N.D.T. university auditorium etc. She has also performed at National and international symposiums at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, IIT Bombay and Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneswar.
She has given a number of performances as a child artist in different dance ballets based on Odissi in famous auditoriums of Mumbai like Ravindra Natya Mandir, Birla Krida Kendra, and Vishnudas Bhave Natya Griha. Her performance as the lead role of young Radha in ShreeRadha, a dance ballet staged in Nehru Centre Auditorium by Tarijhum, In Search of Excellence in Performing Arts, was highly appreciated. Her graceful and charming performances have brought her recognition in Mumbai. Imbibing the purity and style of Odissi, she will portray a promising Odissi dancer in the years to come.
Presently she is doing her B.Tech in Biotechnology at Padmashree Dr. D.Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai and wishes to be a researcher in addition to being an eminent Odissi dancer.
